Shower/engagement party locations in Manhattan & Jersey City!
Help!!
My sister got engaged yesterday. She and FBIL live in Central Jersey, most of their friends are in and around NYC, and most of our family is on LI. We're looking to have her engagement party and her shower in either Jersey City or Manhattan. Any suggestions? Both events will be small (40 people at the engagement party, maybe 20 at the shower).
Any suggestions?

In Jersey City- Liberty House Restaurant.. in LIberty State Park- really cook place to do something.. friend had a small wedding there- good food.

In Jersey City- White Horse Tavern-
another great place- more in Jersey City Proper.. went to a Baby Shower there- equally great for Bridal Shower.

Another good one is the chart house in weekhawken, nj

I just had a birthday brunch at JANE http://janerestaurant.com/
and I noticed that they were having a private shower downstairs. They have really great food!
eta: I think y our party size would be appropriate for that space

I had my baby shower at the eventi hotel in manhattan and my bridal shower at the Stanton social also in manhattan. Both were awesome
