Shower gift problem -- WWYD??
I have a baby shower this Saturday for a very good friend and ordered an Exersaucer from Babiesrus.com. It just arrived and the box is DESTROYED. Every corner is smushed, there's even a giant hole in one corner, and it looks like someone jumped on it like a trampoline. I can't believe they would deliver it like this!
I can't present this gift to her like this. What do you think I should do ? I can return it to a store but they are all out of stock on Long Island. The closest store with stock is CT.
Would you give it to her looking like crap? Or should I just buy something else, or take a picture of it and have another delivered to her house?

Call them and have them ship you a new one. This happened to me with an item I bought online and they sent me a new one next day delivery.

Yeah, I would do this as well - they should expedite it for you.
If it's not possible, then I do think a photo or printout of the item, with a note explaining it in the card is fine, and have the new one shipped to her house.
That stinks!

I would first see if they can expedite one to you overnight. Make a stink.
If not, give her a picture inside the card and say it's on it's way.

On the phone with them now. Not only will they NOT expedite it, they will NOT ship it to her!!! They are going to email me a return label, and UPS has to pick it up, or I can drive to UPS myself, and then they'll send another to me!
She lives 40 minutes away, I really didn't have time for this. No more registry for me, It's going to be gift card from now on.
NOW he forgot to send me the replacement. OMG.

Ask to escalate the call to a supervisor or manager...that is ridiculous. I can understand (kinda, I guess) that expediting the shipping for it to arrive tomorrow might not be something logistic, since it's nearly 6pm...but they can't ship it to her? What?

I got him to expedite shipping so it *may* get there by Saturday but I'll probably already be at the shower. Never again!

I would take a picture of the mangled box and post the pic and the complaint to their FB page and Twitter. That is utterly ridiculous and horrible customer service!

Not that this helps you now but a friend and I were just talking about this and BRU always seems to be the culprit. We both said how from now on we are having them deliver it to the store and that way we can refuse it when it's damaged and have them send another on the spot. Just something to think of in the future...but really what a pita!!!

I might let ups pick it up and give a gift card or cash instead. Another option is to put it together and put a bow on it. Although she won't need it for months...
