Shower opinions needed
DH and I both come from VERY small family, other than our immediate family, there really is nobody that I would invite to my shower. We do however have a great group of friends. I'd say a good 20 couples. My question is, I am thinking of having an evening coed shower, but really like come have dinner & a few drinks with us to celebrate our upcoming arrival. No typical shower games, LOL. Will guys feel weird? I mean the only thing different about this & a regular dinner party would be the opening of the gifts & I'm kind of looking forward to DH helping do that. It'll also make it go quicker. What do you think? TIA for any advice.

Re: Shower opinions needed
I guess it depends on your friends. We did something similar for my bridal shower, but had the guys show up about 1/2 way through after the gifts were done. I don't think my guy friends woulod want to sit through the gifts. But we had a lot of fun after that!

I think it sounds like a nice idea.....Im not sure how the guys will do while you're opening presents, but if its not hours and hours of gift unwrapping Im sure they will be fine!

I think it's a great idea. Honestly, not everyone is going to pay attention to you opening the gifts anyway and if the guys are not interested they'll just chat amongst themselves. I think it's a great way to celebrate your baby with your friends.
