Shower/registry question-
For those of you who had your shower, did you find that the larger stuff wasn't bought? i.e. travel system, glider, high chair, swing...I am pretty sure my shower is next weekend so I'm getting nervous! Don't get me wrong, I am more than grateful for whatever we do receive but we are paying Behr's a nice fat COD next week too!
Also, with BRU, do you get 10% off when finishing buying everything on your registry??

i didn't know we get 10% off?? my shower is next Sunday and the bigger items, stroller, car seat, pack n play were purchased.

I found alot of people buy things the last week and if your shower is Sunday, that could mean people buying stuff on Friday or Saturday. My sister bought my travel system on Thursday for my shower on Saturday.
I *think* you get the 10% completetion thing after your due date, but I am not 100% sure.

I just registered with BRU and was told that I would received a 10% completion coupon approx. 2 weeks after my registered due date.

too bad i didnt know that. i went and bought everything i needed right after the shower 
thankfully though all the big things were purchased right away. i only had to buy the "small" things really...

This is why I was so desperate for coupons after my shower.
I think it's ridiculous that BRU doesn't let you finish your registry (at a percent off) until 2 weeks after your due date. We still had so much to get. We needed burp cloths, a place for the baby to sleep, sheets, BF essentials, boppy, etc. I think I'm going to post something about this for the girls that haven't registered.

That's a great idea Kelly! My friend had her shower date on her registry and I never understood it-that's probably why!
