Thanks for sharing! I made this last Friday and it was really good. I can't eat italian sausage (fam doesn't eat pork and it's in the casing), so I sauteed extra ground turkey using the spices listed under her Homemade Turkey Sausage recipe. It turned out quite well!

I must have screwed it up because I didn't love this at all. The flavor is much too sharp for my taste. I think I will try it again - but with more sauce and parmesan instead of romano.

i found it a little bland and ended up adding more cheese, but DH loved it and it worked really well as leftovers so I freezed a bunch.
I'm thinking variations - like how we would normally make riceballs - would be yummy!
