Sick students
I understand there are a lot of working parents who cannot always stay home with their children when they are sick. But when there is a SAHM that sends her son to school with 101 fever, pains in his ears, a runny nose and coughing up a lung, I get REALLY upset. The kid can't keep his head up all day. Poor thing can't work. The rest of the kids are exposed to being sick, and it puts the teachers' health in compromised positions where THEY may need to be absent for more than a day or two. I must have one hell of an immunity, though I am feeling a tinge of a cold sore.

Re: Sick students
ITA!!!! We ha a student not long ago, whose mom is a nurse and sent him in with a 103 fever and he could barely stand...he came in the next day with a note saying he had strep and was on medication...um...shouldn't he be home for at least 24 hours??? thx mom! I think they look at it as free babysitting...
Edited for spelling

Re: Sick students
OMG I HATE this!!!! My students come from an Residential Facility (where people get paid to be there during the day, while all of the kids are in school, in case of emergencies, Dr. Appointments, etc...) BUT they still send kids to school with any and every type of illness you can imagine!! I makes me so mad
