Side dishes to accompany Lasagna?

I'm making Lasagna for Xmas day and I will also have meatballs and sausage, as well as a salad.

What other side dishes should I make?

TIA!

definitely garlic bread...

honestly - we've never needed other sides with lasagna - with all the cheese - it's rather filling!

Re: Side dishes to accompany Lasagna?

garlic bread or fresh bread warmed up out of the over, steamed veggies are always good and a healthy side so it's not so much carbs and meat on the table. I think that should be plenty.

I know! last year we also did Chicken Parm and everyone was stuffed so hardly anyone ate it.

I already was planning on a salad, so a green veggie sounds like a great idea.

Thanks Ladies!!

Re: Side dishes to accompany Lasagna?

I would either do
Roasted asparagus
sauteed spinach
roasted or sauteed cauliflower
or my fave (I'm such a dork)

canned peas and canned mushrooms sauteed with some EVOO and onions....

Honestly I dont think you need a veggie.

I think the meatballs, sausage, salad and bread is more than enough to go with lasagna.

Re: Side dishes to accompany Lasagna?

I am doing lasagna, meatballs, garlic bread, salad. And my FIL wants to help, so he is making chicken cutlets that I will turn into chicken parm.

I think it's enough so there will be room for dessert tooChat Icon
