Silestone vs Granite
has anyone looked into this? any thoughts? TIA

there are pros and cons to both.
if you do a search there was a long thread on this and someone posted a link to an online comparison.
Silestone is quartz with man made materials in it - it doesnt have to be sealed, but its not 100% quartz.
personally, I liked the look of granite better (its hard to tell the difference, but i felt the granite had more depth and color reflection.
silestone isnt much cheaper either.

We used Silestone in our master bath, it actually matches the granite we have in the kitchen, and you really can't tell the difference.

We are going with Silestone in our kitchen - I like the no maintenance aspect - even though granite doesn't need much. I just figured if I could get something that didn't need any maintenance than why not. We are getting coffee brown - I haven't had it installed yet but I love the sample piece I have.
