Do you use your regular casual china or do you have outdoor china? I'd like to get a set for outside, something that won't break. DH was teasing me, saying he already owns more china now than he's ever had Chat Icon but this is also a person who hadn't grasped the idea of sheets when we met. Chat Icon

Depends either paper plates or if it's something that really needs to be cut then I have these "fancy" plastic ones.

For my bridal shower, someone got me a set of the plastic plates and cups, with a tray and such at Bed Bath and Beyond. I hadn't registered for it and I didn't know what to think.

Well, its the best ting ever because we use it outside all the time. It's only a setting for 4 people, so its perfect just for us, and if we have company, we just use paper plates.

i use different stuff depending on the # of people. I just got a new plastic set for 4 from BJs that I can't wait to use. I have a large tray I use to bring everything out.

Since we dine outside pretty much all year round, we plan on getting plastic when we get the house.

we dont have a backyard, so we dont get to dine outside, BUT, if you're looking, Target had really cute, summery plastic dishes (i think they were like $2 each).

when it's just DH and me, we use our kitchen dishes.

If we're having guests, we use our casual china that we have for "casual dining" (as opposed to our "formal china".)

We use a plastic set I got at the Christmas Tree Shoppe.

Its not so much that I am afraid to break them but they are so darn heavy to carry out along with all the other accoutrements.

The plastic is cheap enough there to get new every season.

Re: Silly ? for those of you who dine outside in the summer...

I've been looking all over for these...

I hate how all these places sell them individually. I wish I could just find a boxed set. I don't know why, it just annoys me!

If it's just us we use our regular dishes, but I've used plastic or paper when we have guests.

I used the plates from the Pampered Chef. They are a plasctic & they are for outdoor eating. They were pretty cheap too. The serving set was from the outdoor collection at Fortunoffs.

I have heavy plastic plates, glasses and cups. Even though I have to wash-up, it seems easier somehow.Chat Icon
