silly question- having work done on the house..

new siding, the old siding i think may have had asbestos since it was so old, they havent made a BIG deal about it, but my hubby was aware. anyway Ive given them coffee and quick morning treats (cereal bars, fruit, breakfast cookies), juice, soda, water and im ordering them lunch.(they want chinese)
im going to be out and about but their lunch wil be here.
is it terrible to NOT offer them to come in and eat ?

other times contractors have done work IN the house, so they just ate and worked type of thing. but am I supposed to offer they sit inside (im afraid of the asb getting into my house, although im sure its not totally avoidable, but you know what i mean.

is it rude to order chinese and leave them to eat outside?
theyre really nice guys. but I feel like im stuck betw a rock and a hard place.

theyre SO appreciative of anything so im sure they wont even think twice about eating in their cars or on the steps...

If they are working outside they can eat outside, especially if your not going to be home.

I don't think it is a big deal not to let them in the house.

When we had the siding done on our house, we told the owner that the guys could come into the house to use the bathroom, but he said that he doesn't allow the guys to do that (I don't know why, but that is what he told us).

DH used to work in construction, so we made sure we had water, other drinks, and snacks for the guys. DH said he always appreciated it when the homeowners would do that for him. So, I think you are being quite generous to them already.

As a construction worker, I can tell you that you are already going above and beyond. Don't worry about them eating outside.

not rude at all- it's very nice of you to get them lunch! My dad and brother are general contractors and they're used to eating in their trucks--- so is their crew.
