Silly, superficial interveiw question
So we all learned when we first started interviewing to wear suits, look neatly groomed, etc. But what about roots? I hate to spend money for a job I may not get, but I have a second interview for a job I really want. I last did my highlights in early July. Do interviewers actually notice this kind of thing, and does it negatively affect their perception of interviewees?

Re: Silly, superficial interveiw question
This is exactly why I don't pay a salon to get my color done.
I get just as many compliments when I do it myself, from the box, as when I was shelling out half my paycheck regularly.
Is that an option?
I have never heard an interviewer comment on roots, but I have heard of other appearance-related things.

Unless they are super funky looking, I think you're fine. But I have a lot of gray hair & go every 3 weeks (yeah, I know crazy) so I'd probably opt to get mine done.
If it helps, my hair place has a groupon so at least I know they're good: http://www.groupon.com/deals/salon-domane-kim-reda-1?utm_campaign=UserReferral_dp&utm_medium=email&utm_source=uu18521460. I go to Justina but everyone is pretty good there.

Re: Silly, superficial interveiw question
I don't think it's a big deal, unless it's going to affect how you feel about yourself going into the interview and bring down your confidence level.
Maybe you could style your hair in a way that minimizes the roots? I know that when my hair is parted and straight, my roots seem more noticeable than when I wear it more wavy/bouncy (more volume at roots). Or maybe you can pull your hair back (so it's not parted)? Pulled back hair always looks professional, imo!
Good luck with the interview.

Thanks. I'm going to try to wear my hair wavy and see how I like it. I used to wear it wavy when it was shorter and I loved it. This might do the trick.
