Similac Poll
I know this sounds weird but so far most people I know that have started out with Similac Advance have switched to Isomil b/c of gas, spitting up or colic. I just wanted to see if this is common!

Re: Similac Poll
I switched from Enfamil Advance to the Soy formula (same switch as your Similac poll) and we noticed a difference and a difference as well by using Dr Brown's bottles

Re: Similac Poll
I started with Advance and went to Alimentum. I skipped the soy. It helped the digestive issues he had and constipation but did not help colic or reflux at all.

Re: Similac Poll
Off topic a little but for those who switched how did you know if it was a milk protein problem or a dairy problem (or is it the same?).

Re: Similac Poll
I started Joseph on Isomil when I need to supplement bf'ing. I read something about plant proteins being easier to break down and was told by my heath food obessed twin that it was better if I had to supplement.
Later I noticed that Joseph had very doll-like skin - that porcelin, china doll complexion. After feeling very proud of having a child with such a perfect complexion, I read an article about that skin as being symptomatic of anemia. After he was tested & came back somewhat low in iron but still in the normal range, I switched to Similac Advanced with the Iron.
With Maddie, I just went straight for the Similac Advanced when I needed to supplement.
