Similac Sensative
Anyone's DC on this formula? Joey was on Similac Advance Early Shield and was doing great but the last couple of days he was very gassy, not having bowel movements as much as he used to etc. I brought it up to his Dr today and she told me to try the sensative.
Anyone who uses, has it helped your DC?

I never tried the sensitive bc I think the first ingredietn was sugar, we used similac, then went to gentlease which was pretty good. When DS turned 10 wks I went back to similac and he is doing great! he only poops every 3 days but he has no issues going when he has to, no gas.

I switched to that from the advanced becuase of gas also. While it helped with the gas it made him terribly constipated. The formula that finally seems to be working the best is the Nestle good start. Each baby responds so differently to different formulas though so even though it didn't work for me your DS may do just fine on it

We started using it when Rylan was about a week old and it helped so much with the gas!!!! We eventually switched and ended up on Good Start but I def think it worked.

Re: Similac Sensative
i just tryed it when we were in the hospital recently but have ended up on the similac soy formula isomil
it is really sitting well with my baby girl so we are sticking to it we did try to switch back to the early shield but she had a very hard time with burping
there has been no difference in the poop department though she can poop with the best of them

We switched my daughter on this when she around 4-5 weeks. It really helped her with gas and it did not make her constipated. HTH

Similac Sensitive and Gentlease are the same formula. One is just Similac's brand and the other one is Enfamils.
To the OP, we used both Gentlease and the sensitive.

Re: Similac Sensative
We switched DD when she was 3 months to sensative and it was a huge difference. She is still on it at 10 months.

Re: Similac Sensative
I tried it with my son and it didnt work for him (he wound up having a milk protein allergy) but I still have an almost full can if anyone needs it. I think I paid $25 and I would like $10.

Re: Similac Sensative
This is what DD uses. It has helped a lot since she had bad reflux in the beginning.

we use the gentlease also because it is less expensive than the similac sensitive, but kate is right, if you look at the ingredients it's the same formula

We used it for DD. It worked great for her. She had gas and fussiness issues.

Re: Similac Sensative
We had to try 4-5 different formulas before landing on Sensitive and DS has been on it since about 10 weeks and doing great. It definitely helped with the gas and the BMs.

Re: Similac Sensative
We tried Sensitive for awhile, and the gas got better, but DCs constipation got worse. Plus as someone noted, it has more sugar than some of the other brands.
We eventually settled on Enfamil Gentlease which worked best for DS.
