Re: Similac Sensitive or Enfamil Gentlease?
I switched my DD (11 wks old) to Gentlease b/c she was super gassy, very irritable when it came time to burping. She spit up also, but I wasn't so much concerned with that b/c it wasn't a lot. She is now doing great on the Gentlease. However, she does spit up still. But, I know that babies will spit up, especially newborns. As long as its not a lot, I wouldn't be that concerned about it. I know that Enfamil also has a special formula, I believe it is Enfamil AR that is supposed to be for babies who spit up. Whatever you decide, good luck! I know how stressful it can be but I'm sure it will work out.

My biggest concern is the gas and how uncomfortable and irritable she is-almost like shes in pain

My Ped said they were the same.
DS is a very gassy baby. The ped, mentioned we should try to use those first if we wanted to switch to formula (he is on BM still!), then go to more expensive formula if that does not work for him.

Re: Similac Sensitive or Enfamil Gentlease?
Gentlease was a lifesaver for us. My DD was colicky and after I stopped nursing, I tried several formulas, finally I switched pediatricians, and he suggested Gentlease. It was A GOD SENT!!!!
She still spit up, they called her a "happy spitter" but the gas seemed to get better and she started pooping on her own. Sorry if that was TMI, but that was a major problem too.
Some babies will spit til they stand. I have some enfamil checks if you want me to mail them to you, FM me!

Re: Similac Sensitive or Enfamil Gentlease?
I am using Similac Semsitive and so far big difference. My son wasn't going to the bathroom but was very gassy and pushing all day and night long. He also would get gassy/burp about 1.5 hrs after every feeding. My first son and DH are lactose intolerant and my 1st son had similar symptoms so instead of jumping to the Alimentum (what my first son was ultimately on) I tried the sensitive and he has all the gas issues are gone. Colic was still there but guess it just has to run it's course.

She burps in her sleep and pushes in her sleep too.

DS is on Gentlease and no longer has gas issues. He does still spit up a lot however it is not with every bottle.
