Similac Total Comfort - light purple container

Is this new? I saw it at Target. Seems like partially broken down proteins to be more gentle like Gerber gentle? Bi was in BRU yesterday and they didn't have it?

It is new! From Abbotts website "If your baby is experiencing discomfort due to persistent feeding issues, Similac Total Comfort may help. It has partially broken-down protein for easy digestion. Plus, it has added Lutein and DHA to help your baby’s developing eyes and brain."

Curious to see if anyone uses it.

I saw purple and orance containers on their website. Is it a remake of sensitive and gas formula?

It looks like a version of Gerber Soothe maybe? DD didn't do well on that, but I read a lot of rave reviews on it. Worth a try. I wonder if you call them if they will send you a sample or a coupon for it? I hadn't gotten checks from them in a while, so I contacted them via email about it and they sent me a few.

this!! we went right to Alimentum when my DD started showing signs of "milk protein sensitivity" at least in my opinion since my son was diagnosed with an allergy when he was young and symptoms were similar. I made the decision to transition.

Now looking back (DD is almost 11 weeks) its more reflux i believe. I am thinking about trying this or goodstart soothe at 4-6 months depending on how she is doing.

thats what I am thinking. this is Similac's version. A step between advance and alimentum? I was shocked that Target has it but BRU doesnt carry it yet.

This is what Enfamil Gentlease is too. Partially broken down. So a half way point between regular and alimentum

Re: Similac Total Comfort - light purple container

I just recently started using the total comfort for my son. We have tried every similac they have except the alamentium leaving that as the last resort since its soooo expensive. We had him on similac sensitive for fussiness and gas and that for a while was working great and then he started to get extremely constipated on it. So we switched the the total comfort and that itself made him very gassy and fussy. I explained all this to our pediatrician seeking her advice and she said if ones making him gassy and ones making him constipated why not mix the two and it should be perfect. So he's drinking 4 ounces at the moment now so we do a scoop of sensitive and a scoop of total comfort and its been working amazingly!!!! He hasn't been fussy or spitting up at all and actually going to the bathroom regular and no gas! Who would of thought it was as simple as just mixing to formulas!!! But it's been working great and we didn't need to spend every dollar we have on the alamentium.
