Since becoming a mom I really miss blow
drying my hair
These days Spud follows me EVERYWHERE, even into the bathroom, so there's no way I can have 10 minutes of uninterrupted hair time. Plus the dryer freaks him out . So it seems like the only times it gets blown out are at my quarterly trim/color appts.
It's sad, just sad

I knew you couldn't possibly be admitting to a former coke habit on LIF - but I was still like
Maybe you can get one of those low noise ones? I used to blow cool air at the boys' faces when they were little so they would like the dryer.

Re: Since becoming a mom I really miss blow
this is why I didn't chop mine off. I knew I wouldn't have time and now I just throw it up in a pony or a bun. I miss it also!

Re: Since becoming a mom I really miss blow
My hair is literally Diana Ross' hair on crack circa 1979 if I don't blow it out...so I bit the bullet and got JHS done..I did it a while ago and hated it, but this time around I loooove it..it still has body and isn't pin straight and shelacked to my head like the last time...If I want to put a wave in it I can with a curling iron...love it, highly recommend it...

Re: Since becoming a mom I really miss blow
it takes me HOURS!
i feel like i do a section, then get him a drink. another section, feed the baby another section, change diaper another section, load of laundry.
but mine is a thick mess of dryness, so i get 4 days out of it.

Re: Since becoming a mom I really miss blow
I have to blow out my hair but I found a way to cut down on the time it takes me. I use one of those twisty towels after I shower, towel dry really well and blow dry with a paddle brush until mostly dry but no where near nice. I then take 2 inch curling iron and take huge sections of my hair and use it to straighten with a bit of body. I can't always get enough time to do it well but there is no way I could not blow out my hair.

Hahahaha Yes, me too... my freinds without kids keep asking why my hair never looks nice anymore... thus I'm thinking of just getting it straightened again...then there's no work needed and it always looks great LOL

Me too. DH is always like, what's taking so long in there? What are you doing? He once had the audacity to tell me I took a 45 minute shower while that was my ENTIRE "getting ready" time from shower to shaving, makeup and hair before we went out.
