Since I am *patiently* waiting for the on-call doctor..rash question
My son had a raised bumpy rash on the side of his chin, then single spots that were red with a raised bump in the center on his neck & lower back & belly this am. They went away within a half and hour to an hour. They reappeared this afternoon/evening at 4pm, In different spots though! All face & upper torso. What is it???Could it be a food allergy?

It could be...did he eat anything unusual or new?
It also could be heat rash...but that is more prickly and small little dots as opposed to raised bumps which sound like welts...
Johnny just had this happen (on his face only though) after eating a cracker with peanut butter..he is being tested next week..

He had strawberries, which isn't new..hasn't had them in awhile. BUT, he eats strawberry yogurt with pieces of strawberry almost 3-4 times a week. The oncall doctor finally called an hour and a half later and talked OVER me, so I got no where. The rash is going away again, just have to watch I guess

Just a side note on the Strawberry thing. Our ped said that a child can have Strawberry flavored things and not show an allergic reaction but could still have one if they have actual strawberries. Im not up on my allergies but I do know that some fruit allergies are only to raw fruits (although I dont know if this pertains to strawberries)..
Did you change laundry detergent? Or soap?
DS gets a rash from DH's goatee. Could it be some type of contact dematitis?

sounds like hives/ DS gets them too. From foods or things touching his skin.

It doesn't look like hives, but I'm no Dr. His yogurt has pieces of strawberry, I guess its not fresh, but processed? I will not give strawberries for a week, then maybe try again to see if thats it. He didn't have any breathing issues...just strange that it came and went in different spots. He already has a "contact" reaction to sauce on his face, I switched detergent about a month ago to All free and clear
