I have been very lucky that my DD is a VERY easy baby...she has been sleeping through the night since 2 months

only cries when she is hungry and you take too long to mix up her bottle Chat Icon

I can count on my hands the number of times she has just been fussy with no real cause (I have learned that she acts this way when she is tired - so I put her down for a nap)

I am VERY lucky Chat Icon

Stefanie -

This describes Cailen to a T - I could have written this myself!!! We have to get them together!!!

I honestly think that there is no way to REALLY understand how hard it is until you do it. I really thought I knew how hard it would be, but man, when she got here it was a whole nother storyChat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Since so many of us are struggling with newborns...

I had no illusions that it would be easy. No one I know down-played it. However, I didn't fully comprehend how hard it is until my DS was born. There is no way no know how it will be and what lack of sleep will feel like until you are living it.

I also want to add that I never thought that I would be the type of person that could survive on so little sleep. I visited my office today and everyone told me how great and rested I looked Chat Icon Meanwhile, last night was an especially bad night-- he had me up ever 2 to 2-1/2 hours! (Usually it's about every 3 hours) It's amazing what you can get used to when you have to.
