Since this board has been lonely....

How is everyone doing ????

So far, so good over here ....My SD is actually coming over tommorrow to spend the day

We had tons of clothes we had gotten her for her birthday and Christmas last year that she never got ( since we didn't see her) so we're hoping that some of it will still fit her so she's going to try them on tommorrow as well for school

We are doing well, I guess! BM is still pulling nonsense -- we just had SS for a week, took him on vacation, he had a great time, and the day we returned him she took him to Adventureland, then after that complained how he sick from out vacation (which is why you went to Adventureland, huh right), and THEN 12 hours after complaining that he was sick she drove him out to PA to a water park! Don't mean to complain, but what can you do.

Hi!!

We are doing well. I had Thomas' pictures taken with step-son's for DH's 35th birthday. The next day we left for a two week trip to Disney. We had a great time!! We didn't see the boys on our regular week nights last week because BM wanted to keep them since she didn't see them for two weeks while they were on vacation with us. I can partially understand, but I think she's mostly doing it out of spite. We have them a few hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays and she couldn't give us that. She's home with them all day in the summer. If she had something to do, she would drop them off on our doorstep in a heartbeat...

I'm stressing a little about school starting and the boys are getting into sports... I think things will start to change this year... The boys will have sporting events to go to and they won't be coming over on their regulary scheduled days all the time and DH will have to juggle going to their events and Thomas, who is only two... I will also have to sit in the bleachers with BM more times than I'd like I'm sure... This started last year in May when the boys started Little League. They were mostly night games and DH went to most of them and I went to a couple with Thomas after I picked him up from daycare on days when he was in a good mood!

Glad to see a thread on this board; I missed chatting with you ladies!!

We're doing well. DD is going back to school next Wednesday; I can't believe how fast the summer flew by. She's going into 7th grade and has to ride the bus this year; so grown up. She's also become obsessed with sneakers lately, just like her dad!!

Hi everyone!

SS is still no longer living with us. It's been a little over 3 weeks now. He has made contact with DH just once since he left (text DH his new cell #). I hear (thanks to my neighbor who is his friend on myspace) that he got a tattoo courtesty of his mother, a new cell phone number and he's out partying getting drunk most of the time. He's still just working PT and has not registered for FT student status at the community college as required by his student loan.

DH has his moments when he wallows and feels sorry for SS but, he knows he's doing the right thing by letting him figure it out on his own.

Some may wonder why DH hasn't contacted SS and the answer is DH is still hurt by SS's actions.

DH and I are headed to Vegas Thursday!

I feel bad for you & DH, but it's not like you all didn't try and his son is at a tough age.

I just hope your step son doesn't burn any bridges on his journey to find himself...he may have to cross over that way again some day. (sounds like a country song )

Not much. All the moving in talk has died down for now (thankfully).

Sd's dog had to be put to sleep So what does BM go and do? GOes out and BUYS another purebreed Golden Retriever. Glad to know where the child support went last month
