Single-mom & dating

So I am currently separated from my husband for well over a year and I started dating and I must say this dating thing is rather hard. After being with someone for almost 13 years its hard to get out there and meet people. Any other single women out there able to give me some pointers on where to find "a good man". I am SO not into the on-line dating scene. PLEASE HELP!!

The online dating scene is really not so bad. I am not sure if you tried it but I have heard about a lot of people hesitating and then finding it to be a great thing for them. When I was single and many of my old friends were busy starting families, I joined a summer share house to meet more people and have some fun. 12 years later, the summer share people are still a big part of my social life and I married someone who was initially just a friend of mine from that scene . There are places like that for people to join with children or for people to join for the weekends that they are not with their children. There are also places for all ages.

I am def not too sure about the online dating. I have never tried it and as much as I love technology I am just old-fashioned when it comes to dating.

But I do know people who swear by it and say its a great thing. Its just not for me I guess.

I met my DH on match.com. i had gone on a bunch of dates before meeting him and all of the guys were really nice. I know it's not for everyone but I wouldn't count it out. It seems like as people get busier, they go online to find people more and more.
