Sinus's, ears, and throat!!!!!!

I started to not feel good late Wed.. Thought I had a stress headache... By Thursday I knew I was working on another sinus infection. Had to go to a walk in clinic because my dr was closed... Got a prescription for Augmentin.. Took the first dose that night and I got horrible stomach pains.. Took the second dose on Friday and the same thing. By Friday afternoon I was in the bathroom with the trots (tmi). That was the end of that medicine. By Friday evening I was feeling better.. Saturday morning I woke up feeling ok, but by mid morning, I felt worse. My left ear was killing me and my throat was scratchy. I went back to the clinic to get a new antibiotic.. Diagnosed with a massive ear infection. No strep though.. Thank goodness. New antibiotic.. I am starting to think there is something in my Mom's house that is triggering these sinus infections. I was staying there when I started to feel sick.. DS has a mild sinus infection too. Started with a cough three weeks ago. While we were staying at my Mom's. There are no pets in the house. They only smoke outside. What can be triggering these attacks.. Could it be mold? 5 years ago there was a massive water leak. Pipe burst. The homeowners got it fixed.. But I am starting to think something is wrong. If I am there for more then a few hours, I get a headache. And then I end up with major allergy issues..

Some people are very sensitive to mold. *waving hand* Might also be dust if there is no animals or outdoor allergens arent an issue.

If you goto the allergist they will test you with all the normal allergens.

I know my Son and I are allergic to mold!! Hasn't NY, had a lot of rain recently? Usually mold follows. Feel better, my dear!!!!! Mary


PS I have been on antibiotics for what seems like an eternity, for prevention of UTI, and I take Phillips Pro-Biotic capsules, to prevent the diarrhea side effect of antibiotics. Really helps!!!!

When we were living in our apartment many years ago, we had a crappy landlord that shoddily fixed a leak in one of the front bedrooms. I had sinus infection after sinus infection for 3 years straight. Once we moved out of that apartment and into our house 4 years ago, I haven't gotten a single one. Coincidence?

I had sinus infection after sinus infection for 3 years straight. Once we moved out of that apartment and into our house 4 years ago, I haven't gotten a single one. Coincidence?

We have had tons of rain!!! 12 inches last week in one day... Can I get tested for a mold allergy? I will try the Phillips Pro-Biotics for any side effects.. I don't need anything else on top of what I have now! Thank you..
