Sippy cups - question for the mommies
Do you offer milk in the sippy with your child's meal or do you offer it after the meal?
Also - can you put all sippy cups in the microwave to heat for a bit?
Right now im just offering water in the sippy- but this week I am getting rid of those bottles for good - Julia is 16 months and with another baby due in 4 months - i want to have her transitioned soon.
Thanks.

Re: Sippy cups - question for the mommies
I would avoid the heating of the milk in a sippy cup. It will get the child too used to having warm milk and if you are out and about, there is nothing to warm it in.

Re: Sippy cups - question for the mommies
we have started transitioning Aly from her bottles...she takes milk 3 times a day and so far we have not been sucessful getting her to take milk from the cup - yet she will take juice or water from it w/o a problem. But, in answer to your question, she doesnt have milk with meals at all...she has a bottl eof milk first thing in the AM about 7 AM, breakfast at 9......lunch at 1.....milk at 3......dinner at 6.....milk at 8....HTH! Now if only I could figure out how I am going to get her to take her milk from the cup!
ETA: I agree with Summer...I wouldnt warm the milk at all - not a good habit to get into. Aly takes all of her milk straight out of the fridge., we did this when she was on formula as well....
