Anyone read it? I just finished it and can't stop thinking about it. I liked it much more than I thought I would.

Re: Sisterland
YES! I loved all of her previous novels so bought this even though I thought it sounded "weird"
While I can't say I liked either sister, I loved the story. alternating chapters and how they ended up working well together.

Re: Sisterland
I did! I'll have to agree with BlueChristmas (big shock, I know )... I LOVED it and didn't think I would when I read the flap. Heck, when I look at the flap now, I STILL don't want to read it. But I could NOT get it out of my head. There was so much that boggled my mind, that I didn't expect to happen... I guess there was a reason that date popped into Kate's head after all...

Oh, I know... I did, too. He wound up being such a great (and INTERESTING) character. It just seemed like such a real book, which, ironically, I did not expect it to be.

I even liked Vi by the end. They all grew on me!

She grew on me, too. I liked that she seemed to be getting her life together and was with Stephanie. I felt good for her that there wasn't as much fall out about the 'wrong' day in light of the truck accident.

They all definitely grew on me, too (in spite of some of the reprehensible things some of them did.) Jeremy was definitely my favorite character, though. I just wanted to hug him at the end.

Re: Sisterland
Started this and just could not get into it. All the characters just fell so flat to me. Reading this makes me want to pick it back up and give it another try.

Ugh, I can't get into it either. I've been stuck on it for 2 weeks now.

Re: Sisterland
Okay so I finally finished this book. It took me almost a MONTH! That is unheard of for me- it didn't take me that long to finish Game of Thrones which was rougly 900 pages.
**SPOILERS**
Anyway, I was extremely disappointed. I actually threw my Nook on the couch in disgust when she got with Hank. THAT was her big earthquake? She'd get knocked up by her bff who is also black so she can't pass the baby off as Jeremy's? And I was mad that Jeremy stayed with her... actually I just couldn't stand her period. I would've like to know more about Vi actually than Kate/Daisy/whatever her name is.
The only thing, ONLY thing I liked about the ending was that Gabe had senses... and the revelation that they came from her dad.
