Six Flags question
I haven't been to Six Flags in many years, and DH's company is having a picnic there on Sunday (with free admission for us ).
My question is: can I bring a purse? I wanted to take my sunglasses and camera, and wallet of course. I don't plan on going on any super big roller coasters, but I do want to go on some smaller rides. Is a cross body purse okay, or will that likely fall off during the rides?
What do guys bring when you go to amusement parks? The last time I went, I was so NOT a purse person. I never carried them around. Now I can't live without one!

Re: Six Flags question
i went last year and bags were prohibited from the rides!!! they have locker stations outside each ride and require you to put your bag in there. it was so annoying!! im pretty sure its $1 every time you use it. my FH and brother ended up carrying my camera and phone in their pockets (had a zipper pocket)
ETA: i had the small cross body coach bag with me and was told i couldnt bring it on.

Oh wow, thanks for the heads up! Maybe I'll just wear cargo capris and put my camera and sunglasses in there and DH can carry my id and stuff. That really is annoying.

Re: Six Flags question
we were forced to use the lockers when we went last year
either that or we had to toss our bags on the other side where you get off of the rides, but some didn't even want you to do that. its so stupid!

Re: Six Flags question
i would definitely not bring a pocketbook - i have DH carry my stuff for me (just a thin wallet). they have cubbies for shoes and sunglasses when you get on each roller coaster.
we always get a locker anyway b/c we put a change of clothes in there in case we get wet on water rides, or it gets cool at night.
have fun! i am so jealous!

Shoes? They don't let you wear shoes on the ride?

Re: Six Flags question
I went last week. The cubbies for shoes are mainly for sandals and flip-flops. I was amazed at how many people wore flip-flops to a roller coaster park...
My sister had a windbreaker that had a pouch on the front. Some rides don't even allow fanny packs. I would have something with pockets big enough to hold whatever you need to carry with you, preferably with zippers.
Enjoy!

Re: Six Flags question
I don't have any advice, but if anyone wants a free child ticket...FM me. DS got it from a reading program, but we won't be using it.

well there are some rides where your feet hang down, and i always wear flip flops to 6 flags, if i wore them on the ride they would fall off

really? i always do! they are the most comfortable and dry the quickest after the water rides. plus i know they have the cubbies there for me to put my flip flops in when i go on the roller coasters.
i hate wearing sneakers all day, sandals work best for me

I was planning on wearing sneakers, so I'm all good! In MD the water park is separate from the amusement park, so we figured we would just stick with the amusement park. I'm not ready for DH's coworkers to see me in a bathing suit. (and you have to wear on in the water park).

Re: Six Flags question
i usually wear sandals that have a strap across the back. so that works for me!
there are at least 2-3 water rides in the regular amusement park, not just the water park. there is a log flume and the big group tube ride, but those are the only 2 i can think of right now! so you might get wet on those, just something to think about!
