Re: Skin Cream....
first, good luck at your dr. appt today!
i'm sorry i don't have an answer to this question... because I was going to ask it myself. When I was pregnant with DS two years ago, I seem to remember that I stopped using either a face soap or wrinkle cream or SOMETHING because of a chemical in it. I think it was some kind of ....cylic acid?? I have zero memory.
Hoping someone on here knows.
ETA: woops! i thought you were the person who posted about having your first dr. appt... but i htink i got confused.

Re: Skin Cream....
I was on topical Differin every other day when I got pregnant and had to stop. Anything that sits on your skin or you take orally is generally bad. I think the only safe things are AHAs and glycolic acids.
I am allowed to use my OTC face wash with saliycic acid in it but that's on my skin briefly and not enough to absorb.

Re: Skin Cream....
My Dr said anything over the counter is ok- but anything with prescription Retin in it is a no-no.
I have an eye cream by Loreal with some Retinol in it but she said anything over the counter has such a minimal amount and so little actually absorbs through your skin that it's ok...

Re: Skin Cream....
I was told nothing with salicylic acid or retin-a (vitamin a), because both can cause birth defects.
