OMG - I was just thinking this the other day! I have one small one on my eye lid and another on my neck. Ughhh.

I haven't looked into removing them yet. I'd be interested to see what other say.

Sometimes, depending on the dr. they will put it through the insurance if you say they are irritated rather than just for cosemtic reasons Chat Icon (i used to work for a dermatologist)

When you go tell them they are irritated or bothering you or something like that.

Re: skin tags....

My friend got these when she was pregnant. She had to get them removed after she had her kids. I believe her hubby's insurance covered them.

Ok Ladies this is old skool from my grams! But it works!!! My hubby got them not me! and I got rid of them like this! tie a strand of hair really tight around the bottom of them and cut the excess off leave it there for as long as it stays ( 2-3 days) and they just wither away to nothing or fall off,,, my mother in law got rid of allot them that way too and she said it was fine after that!!

Re: skin tags....

No not cut the tag off, the excess hair! the tag will fall off on it's own!

It will start to wither!

Re: skin tags....

With my last 2 pregnancies I got a few and believe it or not they fell off themselves. They were very small though and on my armpits and the side of my eye.

Re: skin tags....

weirdest thing in the world-- i had 3 of them that i never had a chance to remove before getting pg. i am in early pg and 2 of them shrunk. one of them is almost gone! i have a feeling they will come right back soon. do they wait until after pregnancy to remove them??

Re: skin tags....

My pregnancy book said they sometimes go away on their own after the pregnancy.

I heard that duct tape works on warts. I don't know how, but I'm sure the internet can tell you!

Re: skin tags....

If you got them DURING your pregnancy, they might come off after you deliver. Believe it or not, I had on on my cheek and it came off on its own about a week after Taylor was born

Re: skin tags....

DH gets them in his armpits sometimes. He ties dental floss around them and they do fall off in a few days, very gross but it works. I don't think you can do that if they're visible to others though.
