Sleeping tips-newborn
I am going to be notebooking this post so any advice is greatly appreciated.
My DD is 11 months old and won't go to sleep on her own. She needs to be rocked. I am exhausted and vowed I will not make the same mistake with the next baby.
So my question is when can I start placing the baby down to sleep for her/him to learn to sleep on its own? How many months?
Thanks!

Re: Sleeping tips-newborn
Have you let her CIO? My DS always needed to be rocked (and fall asleep) before we put him down but once we did CIO, after a few nights, he was able to fall asleep on his own. We did it when he was 6.5 months old... he is 9 months now and (knock on wood) he is a great sleeper! At bedtime he doesn't want to be rocked anymore, he wants to go in his crib. As soon as we put him down, he rolls to his side and falls asleep within 5 minutes.

Let her CIO. She's plenty old enough at this point. We did it with DS at 10 months, after a few days he was going down without a peep and STTN. Good luck!
