Slept a lot then just threw up his whole bottle
Hi guys,
I'm not sure if I should call the pediatrician...Matteo slept for 10 hours last night, usually he can go 7 or 8, then he woke up and had a bottle. I put him back down in his crib b/c he seemed sleepy but then I heard him fussing so I went to take him out and he started coughing, then threw up what looked like his whole bottle. The thing is, he's not crying, he's smiling, seems fine. Should I even call the doctor? He was taking Zantac and I had just stopped it a few days ago, maybe that's it? I have no idea.
TIA for any responses.

Did it smell like vomit or formula? He may have just hit his gag reflex while coughing. If it smelled like formula that is most likely what happened. I hope he is okay

I think it smelled like formula. Thanks for posting so quickly, I started getting myself upset, I feel like I don't know what to do sometimes, still new to this!

He seems happy...now he just has a clogged tear duct which is making his eye ooze!! Thanks ladies!! Love the support here.

I called my pediatrician this morning to make an appt. for his 4 month checkup, so I asked about his eye (he is sleeping now but I can see his eye has yellow gook where it meets). I'm waiting for a call back so I will tell them about him throwing up too. I'll probably have to bring him in! They probably know him by his first name now! Ha ha! Better safe than sorry, though.

Hi Stacy,
I was just checking in, just put him down for a nap. He's doing well! His eye still is oozing but I think it is the clogged tear duct. But he had another bottle and no throw up.
