Slice - Update

from Making Memories . . . anybody have one??? Pros, cons????

I've been looking at die cutting machines for a month now, and was 99% sold on the Cuttlebug when I came across this one.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!

***UPDATE***

So, I bought the Slice, and returned it. I did try it out, but for a item with a retail price of $149 (even if I got 50% off), it just wasn't worth it. It was user friendly, with a very small, almost non-existent learning curve, but it required too much effort to get the tension on the cutting blade exactly right so it would work.

After I returned it, AC Moore had "Scrapbook Saturday" with demos and sales etc. The sales clerk who was doing the Slice demo couldn't get the blade tension adjusted properly AT ALL. It reaffirmed my decision.

Just thought I would post my personal experience.

Re: Slice

I saw it in a magazine and that is all I know. Have you ever looked at the boards on scrapbook.com? They have a similar layout to the boards here. Sometimes I do a search by the name of a product.

Re: Slice

I know a friend of mine just got one...havent had a chance to ask her if she likes it. I have seen some reviews of it and it seems like a great machine for cutting letters and shapes. very portable so easy to take to crops.

You should try out the Cricut. You can try it out at some of the scrapbooking stores
If not you are more than welcome to come and try mine out

Thanks for the offer. They were also demonstrating the Expression at Scrapbook Saturday, so I got to see it in action. It's completely out of my price range and it is specifically excluded on all AC Moore, Michaels and JoAnne's coupons. I bought the Cuttlebug with a 50% off coupon, and even though it is manual/crank I love it.
