Re: slimfast

I've tried it and never lasted. I need food! It gives you major gas though!

Re: slimfast

The new slim fast diet lets you eat food though. I just want to lose a little bit of weight for my trip to punta cana on the 11th of august.

What do you think is the best way to do it then?

Re: slimfast

I think South Beach works really well...It's tough to go without the carbs but it's better than Atkins. I think I am going to go back on it this week.

Re: slimfast

I don't know about the slim fast shakes, but my husband lost a lot of weight with another program. It was diet and exercise.

For breakfast he had this shake: (300 calories)
1 packet Carnation Instant Breakfast (100 calories)
1 cup skim milk (90 calories)
1/2 large banana (8-9 inches long), (50 calories)
1 teaspoon saflower oil (42 calories)
1 teaspoon Carnation Malted Milk powder (20 calories)
2 icecubes

Mix all ingredients in blender, mix until smooth.

I used to have a milk shake as a snack with out ice and with icecream, I started having these and don't miss the icecream. If I had a good day I will have one as a snack. I also have them for breakfast and it fills me up until lunch. Well, I don't put the banana in b/c I don't like the banana-choc. mix, so I take the banana with me and have it for a snack about 2 hours after breakfast.

He used to have poptarts and creamcheese or an egg sandwich for breakfast EVERY day. He's off the diet but still has the shake about 4-5 times a week.
