Slow Cooker Newb.
So I'm a slow cooker newbie. I've never owned one, never used one, know next to nothing about them other than everyone says they are awesome.
I got one for Christmas and I've been gathering a few recipes, but I've been wondering- I do a lot of recipes where I bake chicken and veggies or rice in a casserole dish. Would you be able to adapt those to use the slow cooker? I did find a recipe on pinterest where the original source has it done in a casserole dish (either at 275 for 3 hours or 375 for 1.5 hours), but the pinner does it in the crock pot (high for 4.5 hours). Can I do this with other recipes, too? Also, I'd be interested in any really good crock pot recipes! It's all new to me. I've been cruising pinterest though, I think I need a new board just for crockpot recipes.

Yes, you can put your otherwise cooked in casserole dish in slow cooker. just minimize the amount of fluids you put in crock pot.
look up chicken taco soup on allrecipes.com
that's a HIT everytime!

allrecipes.com is usually my go to. Go to the slow cooker collection and then sort by rating. There are lots of great ideas. Be sure to read the reviews listed as most helpful too for great tips.

Crockin girls website has a lot of recipes. I really like their "stupid chicken" and corona chicken recipes.
