Slowly losing mucous plug? TMI

So all through this pregnancy, I have had watery discharge all the time- normal. Same with my twin pregnancy.
Last time, I lost my plug all at once, and it was thick and like snot.

ETA: I am 35 weeks 4 days

Now, I have a watery but cloudy discharge that's slightly sticky. Could it be I'm losing my mucous plug little by little? Has anyone heard of this or had this happen? How soon after did you deliver?

It can happen, but it would look like mucous, not cloudy dishcharge. Doesn't really mean anything.

I think I remember reading that it can regenerate so if you lose it slowly it doesn't necessarily mean anything is starting.

When you lose your plug it's normally blood tinged snot looking. Cloudy just sounds like regular discharge from vaginal secretions.

I had what you're describing for a good few weeks before delivering…At 39 weeks, there was a big chunk and still nothing. Didn't deliver until exactly 41 weeks.

Great! Thanks, girls. The first time I lost my mucous plug, the whooooole thing came out all at once, gnarly as you all described it. This is different.
