Slowly losing my mind re: closing date!
We are supposed to close next Wednesday or Thursday, and I have been waiting on pins and needles to find out exactly when and where.
Today, I get a message from my REA saying that she heard from the selling agent that we are closing on Wednesday at 2:30! I was so excited and called DH who said that he had JUST spoken to our lawyer's office, and had been told that they were waiting to hear back from the seller's lawyer, but that it would probably be Thursday . The message I got and his phone conversation were within 10 min. of each other!
I am absolutely going to lose my mind before all of this is over.

and they could change it again. hang in there. i'm sure it's going to happen sometime next week. if they don't have everything together they just can't close. It was probably the most stressful "week before" for us.

I agree...the date changed 2x on us. Sounds like you're near the end though...you'll be a homeowner (hopefully) by next weekend Jackie! YEAAAAAAAA!

Hang in there Jackie!
I know its a pain because you have to plan to take the day off but it doesn't matter if its Wed. or Thurs - just hope that by the end of next week you'll be homeowners!

As hard as the whole house buying process is, the week of closing is the nuttiest!!!
Our seller "forgot" about closing and didn't have anything set up to move out of the house.  We found this out the afternoon before closing. Which affected everything. There are a lot of players involved in closing - it all works out in the end.
Just hang on. Best wishes next week - everything will work out!

It is very stressful. We had planned to go to close yesterday or today but it just didn't happen. The seller just got back from vacation early this week, and by then, both attornies were booked with other closings.
So we are scheduled to close on Monday. I am hoping that being it's St. Patrick's day, it will bring us LUCK!
