Small kitchens...

Can you post some pics. The house we "might" be getting has a small kitchen that will be redone. I'm looking for ideas...

Re: Small kitchens...

This was our kitchen in our old house.
Before we redid it it was the original 1957 knotty pine kitchen and the space was so inefficient and it didn't have a dishwasher originally. We knew we were moving in a few years when we redid it.

My FIL (kitchen designer) more than tripled the amount of cabinet space and fit in a dishwasher.

To the left was a custom ceiling to floor pantry that held all of our food, cat food and even a bin for recycling on the bottom.

I had so much cabinet space I was able to put my entire china, service for 12, in the corner cabinet above the sink.

There was a window between the pantry and the stove but you can't see it in this pic.

The cabinets to the left of the stove... top was for spices and bottom was designed for baking sheets.

If you have enough room for pot drawers, they hold so much more than regular cabinets.

Re: Small kitchens...

IKEA's kitchen planning tool lets you visualize any size. Also, their catalog has "small space" design pictorials.

ETA: I googled small kitchen and got this..
