small update
i had to change dh's urologist appt to next wednesday, so it will be another week before we know where his situation stands. my ob should be calling me today to tell me the results of my day 3 clood testing. i had the lab foward them yo my ob as well because i am going to change REs. last, i saw my hematologist today. i have an issue with protein s defiency, which in a nutshell is the risk of developing clots. i am having my last blood workup to see if during pg i will need to take blood thinners during pg and pp. as of now i will. i also wanted to find out about risks if i need to use any hormones when doing IUIs. for me there is a limit of what i am willing to do.....i have my one ds and since my mother had a stroke at a young age i do not want to put myself in a risky situation. i am going to post about this on the ttc board maybe pg to see if anyone has experience with this.

Re: small update

Re: small update
i found out about it maybe a year and a half ago. i was spotting between periods and my dr recommended trying the patch to see if it would help me because i was also get bad pms. at the time i started to use it i began reading alot about women in my age group having strokes and stuff from it.(ortho evra releses more estrogen than the pill does because it directly goes into your system through the skin, not like the oral pill where it is broken down in your stomach first before it is released) so i went to my dr to get a blood draw and i found out when i use estrogen my chances of developing a clot increase. and it is a risk while using the medicine but there is even a greater risk during pg bc the levels go up so so much. and also my mom had a stroke when she was 52 so i am very cautious about my health. thats why i am hesitant about some infertility treatments, particularly those that involve the hormones. since i am at a risk for developing clots, there is a limit to what i am willing to do.
