Smiley on OPK but not Peak on CBEFM

I have been using the CBEFM for about 4 months now and after not getting a Peak reading last month I decided to add OPK's. Well....I currently have high readings on the CBEFM. I tested with a smiley OPK in the morning yesterday and it was negative. I again tested with OPK in the pm and GOT A SMILEY!! I then tested this morning and still am at high on the CBEFM and NO SMILEY!!!! WHAT??? So confused. Anyone have any ideas of what this means?? Did I ovulate???

That sounds similar to me... i got peak reading on cbefm cd20, no smiley. Then peak AND smiley on cd21, then down to a high reading and no smiley cd22. Ive never gotten more than one smiley in a cycle, though i know some girls do. This is my 1st month using the fm.
if u never got a peak reading on the fm, then i would go by the smileys... u prob O'd according to them. None of these tests are 100%... if u def bd around the fertile time on ur smiley and dont get a bfp in the next month or two, maybe u should have ur ob/gyn draw blood to see if ur ovulating. I was using different opk's over the winter and never once got a positive that i O'd but when i went for bloodwork it showed that i was, so u never know.

I have never used at fertility monitor. But last time I used the OPK I only got one smiley in the month b/c I was testing in the morning. This month I tested twice a day during ovulation week. I tested in the am and no smiley. I tested in the afternoon and got a smiley and another smiley the next morning. So maybe it was just the time of day you tested.
