Sneaker Recommendation

I have a bad toe that I broke years ago & it never healed right that cramps up with most pairs of shoes when on my feet too long. I desperately need a new pair of sneakers that are roomy, not too tight, & flexible. I am on my feet all day & wear sneakers all day at work so I need comfortable ones. I already have 5 pairs at home that I can't wear. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Some sneakers like Nike come in wide width, have you tried those?

Re: Sneaker Recommendation

I hate wearing sneakers. I have wide feet and always have a hard time finding something comfortable. The best I have found are New Balance. Wore them through Disney without a problem!

New Balance comes in a wide with. I love them. Have three pair of diffrent styles. Nike also makes a wide width too.

Re: Sneaker Recommendation

I broke my toe a few months ago and I have had to wear sneakers a lot. The podiatrist told me to get New Balance. I also have flat feet which made it worse. My told me to get the kind for "Motion Control" Unfortunately these are not the $40 New Balance that you can buy at Bob's, these are the $80 New Balance that you have to get at a specialty store. I got mine at the Rugged Boot in Centerreach(Lake Grove?) on 25.
This is a good site to get an idea.

Have you tried Ryka? They are supposed to be made for women's feet & they come in wide width if you need it. I got a pair at DSW in December & find them very confortable!

Re: Sneaker Recommendation

Add me to the New Balance list.

I have "normal" width feet, but my left foot has almost no arch, while my right foot has a pretty high arch.

New balance are the only ones that work for me.

Re: Sneaker Recommendation

They may not look like it, but these sneakers are SUPER DUPER comfortable:

I have about 3-4 pairs of these, and they're perfect for me. They're Nike Air Rifts, and there's a variety of color/sizes on ebay, if you're interested.

another vote for New Balance - Ive had foot problems in the past as well as a wide foot and they are the only ones that are comfortable enough for me.

Re: Sneaker Recommendation

I am a huge new balance fan. I have a bad back and a broken bone in my ankle, and my chiropractor reccomends new balance and they have been great, I've been wearing almsot nothing but NB for 5 years.

if you do a search there's a store in NJ online that will ship NB and you;ll usually get it the next day.

Re: Sneaker Recommendation

I would also have to recommend New Balance -- I've been using them for YEARS now but I have to admit I recently got a pair of Nikes after not using them for at least 6-7 years and they were comfy also.
