snow boots?! where/what?
I need to buy Luce some snow boots.
we are getting him an open foot snow suit and I want to get him boots but stride rite doesn't have.
he's 13 months and a size 6. he's been walking for a little over 2 months if that matters. I want him to be able to walk in them.

Find them now - they are such a PITA to find once the snow hits. I found a pair for Ryan at Marshalls recently but then didn't like them and got some at Target. Target had a fairly good selection from their brand (Circo) to Champion that were "higher end".
My boys will end up in the snow twice this winter so I don't like dropping $50 on them. I have a variety of sizes from past winters from Ryan for Colin so I didn't buy him any yet.

And i'm  b/c my little peanut is 19 months and the size 6 is big on him !

That's why I returned a pair I bought at Carter's. I ended up with the Circo ones from Target - they seem to open up all the way.

Go inexpensive, they wear them 1 -3x and thats it! At least in our experience. Also go a size bigger, those things are a PITA to get on!
I just saw Toy Story and Car movie at Kohls...
Target had some as well. try payless too!
ETA: dont worry too much about the walking in them, the boots arent the issue, the snow and the extra layers are!
Last year we had the blizzard on DS's 2nd b-day 2 feet of show (I think) DS started walking at 10 mo. and last year he would just yell for us to hold him if he wanted to walk in the snow...he would only walk in the street where it was plowed already!

I got the Khomba brand at Marshalls for Ryan originally but then he tried them on and they kind of stay open in the front. The Circo ones I got at Target have a strap across the front.
I did get great Totes at Kohls last year.
We should all have a snow boot exchange

I ordered them earlier today from Kohls. Right now the code EXTRA20 gets you 20% off and the code CONTACTFR gets you free shipping, they let you use 2 codes.
I'd suggest getting a size bigger, we've had to try to find new boots in late Jan after a growth spurt which is no fun. You can always double up on socks in the meantime if they are a little big for him.

Frankie LOVES them....he's yet to wear them out yet but he loves wearing them throughout the house! I know its free shipping and I believe some promo codes online.

I have the Lands Ends ones this year---last year I bought Target ones and they worked really well for the few times he was out in the snow--both are very easy to get on.
