Snow this weekend

I know its a little early to tell how much snow. But don't we have a weather buff in here? Curious to know what she thinks of the upcoming storm.

Re: Snow this weekend

I follow Islandwide Weather on FB and they seem to think it's going to be a significant storm. Based on the European model, there could easily be over a foot of snow. Chat Icon Of course if it goes a different way, it could be nothing but rain. Chat Icon As far as they say though, and I usually find them to be pretty accurate, it's going to be big.

Watching channel 4 right now. Looks like 2 different models but there is potential for a foot or more of snow

No thank you. If there is a lot of snow we miss out in seeing some of our friends who will be out plowing and trekking out in the snow to food shop and go out to dinner sucks.

They are usually the most accurate. News12 said they would know more by this afternoon. This looks fine to be this much or less. :)

Same - the things we have scheduled, I feel indifferent about doing. And I have decided to embark on a new household organizational project.

Of course then it won't snow lol.

I swear by Glen and Don and I don’t even live on LI anymore. Luckily, I’m close enough to the sound that I’m on their maps and my ears perk up whenever I hear “north” Chat Icon

The totals went up since I made the original post - who-hoo!

My goal is to reorganize our kitchen and dining room this weekend. We have an open floor plan and you enter into the dining room. Everyone in the family likes to drop stuff there and it's gotten out of control!

Snow this weekend

I don't mind the snow...as it's falling. But then I HATE the aftermath - cleaning cars out, shoveling, no parking. Yuck!

Rich is still saying they are not sure who will get this much or even so, a day out. I really hope not but going to run around today to get things I need this weekend as I have a bday party to go to on Sunday.

I worry more about having enough snacks in the house Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oh and we don't have a snow blower like everyone else and their mother lol

Edited as of 9am on weather.gov, 8-12 at Airport.

They're the best!! I always want to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and say hi! Chat Icon I like that they are not alarmist and they really explain the science behind it so you can better understand why things go one way or the other. Right now they have me (in Nassau county) for 6-12" but the models are shifting again and it's looking like it's more 12-18" for the majority of LI. Chat Icon They said they'd update later today, but 36 hours out is fairly accurate at this point so if everyone is saying big it's probably going to be big.

THIS!!!!

It's pretty to look at while it's falling, but it's so much work afterwards. Exhausting.

I want to tackle my office. It became the dumping ground for all the boxes we didn't want to unpack and our sheets since my laundry closet isn't done yet. But I can't work on the couch anymore, I get too lazy and will never work. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

This is the perfect opportunity to finish the house punch list.
