Snow Tubing?

Looking for recs. We went to Fernwood one year at it was AWESOME. We might do that again, but I'm not sure. I know a lot of the mountains have tubing, but not sure how good it is. TIA Chat Icon

Re: Snow Tubing?

I went tubing at Brodie Mtn in Mass - awesome!! Then again this was about 14 yrs ago... Chat Icon It's a family-owned ski resort so it may be smaller than what you're looking for.

I went around St Patty's Day so they had shamrocks sprayed on the mountains and such - it really was a blast..

Is Fernwood a hotel in the Poconos? I think I have a timeshar affiliate there and was thinking of going one random weekend. Did you stay there?

Yeah, but only because I won the weekend there. The resort is run-down and not very nice to be honest. The tubing park is a lot of fun though (and you don't have to be a guest to use it).

We wouldn't actually stay in the hotel units, we would be in the timeshare units, which are a little nicer (based on what I've read.) Would it be a fun weekend with a 2 year old? I can probably get a 1 or 2 bedroom unit for $200-249 for the whole weekend. Are there any good restaurants on site?

Re: Snow Tubing?

We stayed in a timeshare unit also, not the hotel. The first unit we got was awful so I complained and we were given one of the refurbished ones which was nice. It's the rest of the resort that is run down. The restaurants weren't very good and I don't think your DC would have fun there to be honest. The only thing to do is swim since tubing you have to be a certain height.

Thanks for the info. It says on their website that they have a toddler play area. And DS is about 35in, so I would "hope" he's tall enough for the family tubing. I was also thinking he'd really enjoy the indoor pool. I guess I'll have to look into it more.
