So, Ava had her 10 month visit today...
and boy was she mad! Anyway, talk about a bad guesstimator I am! I had no idea how much she weighed or how long she was, I totally thought she was way bigger than she is. She's 21lbs. and 30 inches. That's pretty big, but still, here I am thinking she was like 35 inches and 30 lbs.
Cathy, if you're reading, this part's for you!......
Anyway, he told me that I can stop giving her formula as soon as I run out He said that since she's been on a steady diet of table food since she's 8 months old and eats a varied, healthy diet, she doesn't need the formula anymore, and that cow's milk is overrated, anyway. He said we can give her water to drink and some soy milk if we want to, but that soy milk is completely unnecessary. He gave us vitamins and told us that with her diet, and the amount of solids she eats, she'll be fine without cow's milk and not to worry. While I feel like it's totally a shock to me that he said all that, I trust him 100%. He's been in the business for longer than I've been alive, and I grew up with his kids, who all seem to be healthy, so I'll trust him
ETA: She can't have cow's milk due to an allergy, didn't want to sound like I think milk isn't necessary!

She has nearly the same stats as my DD did at her 10 month visit! Sounds like she is doing great! I think I am using my last can of formula too. She took to milk well and has been drinking it with her meals.
Yeah Ava

Thats great news, you will save alot of money on that formula. Hayden was almost the same size at his 10 month appt, just a half inch more.

Rachel that's awesome! Andy will ONLY eat formula for the past month. Clamps his mouth shut and cries if we try baby food and table food makes him gag and vomit. Even the Gerber puffs. We go May 7 for the 10 month visit, I'm sure I'll get an earful from them. I know I should have called the doctor about it, but I just feel like we've been there so much with all his other issues, I just need a break from going there.

Sounds like she's doing awesome. I think milk must be overrated though. Miranda drinks almost none and so far she's doing just fine. I do give her vitamins though because she's a craptastic eater.
