so cleaning lady #8 is here today...
This is her 2nd week so she should have a general lay of the land.
She's been here for 5 hours, she's still not done and i'm totally not impressed by what I've seen. My house is not that big, though it gets messy its not really "dirty". I just had to pack the dishwasher and wash the pots from breakfast because she didn't bother with any of that.
I am at the end of my rope with cleaning people, I have no time to clean the bathrooms and do the heavy duty stuff myself otherwise I would throw the towel in.

my mom has the same issues, although I think she's only gone through 3 or 4 not 8.
I find that she does not tell the cleaning lady specifically what she wants cleaned. It may seem liek she should know, but different people expect different things. I would go over everything with her and give her two tries and correct the things you don't like after the first one. If she doens't get it after that, it's time for a new one.
My mom's cleaning lady does not do the dishes or load the dishwasher, bc my mom told her not to.

yeah, it's tough to find a good cleaning lady...they usually don't give a damn and cut corners. I, too, would explain in detail what I want done.

I have a recommendation for you! You will not be disappointed with the cleaning lady my family and I have used forever. Stacy is incredible! She lives in the Wantagh/Seaford area - not sure where you are located though. Let me know if you would like her information!

I have had the same lady for 2 yrs and I always leave her a nice not asking to make sure she gets to certain things that need more attention.
She does things that I didn't ask her to do, like I left a new plastic shower liner in the bathroom but dishes and laundry are extra $$.
I trust her to be alone in my apartment. She cleans for a few people in the building.
It def. is hard to find someone who does what you want to do and do it the way you want it. Are they coming word of mouth? Good luck.

I'm very happy with my cleaning lady.
Maybe I'm just not all that particular.... ...but I've had her for years and I think she does a great job.

are you specific about what you want? I think 8 cleaning people is a lot. It sounds like you need to be very clear about your expectations.
My cleaning lady will not do the dishes.
She will change my sheets but sometimes instead I ask her to fold laundry. I always leave a note with the cash.
She will put up a new shower curtain but she does floors last and always leaves all of my area rugs in one place and doesn't put them back.
That's my only complaint.
