So confused about walkthrough today
In the debrief, the evaluators were concerned that they did not see enough direct instruction. I just sat there scratching my head. 
I thought they wanted teachers to step away from the front of the room and have students do more of the inquiry work.

I think they look for anything you are not doing. God forbid they focus on all the things you ARE doing!
They seriously want teachers and students doing everything everyday! Which anyone who knows anything about education knows is impossible and not beneficial!

So ridiculous.... They said it my school too more student centered learning. It's like they want whatever is the opposite of what they see.

I am so glad I don't have to deal with the DOE and their crap any longer. No matter how good something is, they always have to say something negative. For some reason I was thinking today about the people from our Region and how condescending and rude they were. It really made me wonder how they talked to kids when they were teachers. And as much as I thought it was ridiculous when they brought those evaluators over from England, at least they didn't treat us like shit the way the people from the city did.
Can you tell I'm still a little bitter?
