So DD will be 17 months tomorrow and is night waking again?

She has been getting up at least once for almost 10 days now. I thought it was teeth but she already has all 4 molars (she still has 4 more teeth in the front to come in). It take a long time for her to fall asleep and did I mention I need to be in her room other wise she will cry for hours (tried that too). If I bring her into bed she falls asleep in 2 seconds and doesn't move an inch (which I am thrilled with because DS is a terrible co-sleeper) but I don't want to start this habit but I think kinda already did.
Anyone else going/gone through this?

it is hard to figure out sometimes whats going on with babies... ds had a phase where he woke up 2-3 times a night, screaming and I had to go in and calm him down (he was literally hysterical)... it lasted couple of weeks... I have no idea what woke him up, was it teething or bad dreams, but as I said it went away...

Adrianna, this is sooooo wacky!!!!! DD is doing the SAME EXACT THING!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I posted about it the other day. She is waking up at 4am EVERY DAY for the last 5 nights. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Like clockwork, 4am!!!!! And she is hyperventilating in there, will NOT go back to sleep if we try to CIO, just will not go back to sleep, it's like she's wide awake, but not playing away, more cranky awake. When we finally go in to get her, usually she'll fall back to sleep on us, sometimes she just wants to be wide awake and we'll have to work realllly hard to get her to fall back asleep! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

And, yesterday she didn't take a nap. Not one second. And we stayed home almost ALL day so she'd nap. And she was perfectly fine-- not one eye rub, or yawn, or crankiness. We tried putting her down once, she was NOT falling alseep, and she literally did not nap all day and was perfectly content. We are just dumbfounded as to what's going on Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

She has a million teeth (I'm horrible, I don't know the names) but I know for sure she's got all her molars, maybe she's getting more in b/c she's got her hands in her mouth a lot, but she's not cranky during the day at all, even w/o a nap.

I'm clueless, I really am, and I totally feel your pain Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon The weird thing is, DD was kind of out of whack with sleep b/c we were OOT for Thanksgiving, but we came back and she did great for 3 nights. Then (the part that weirds me out) is that Weds. pm she got the Chicken Pox shot, and starting that night & since then, she's up every night...but like I said, acting perfectly fine besides for the sleeping...so I worry that it's realated to the shot, but would that be a side-effect with NO OTHER side effect???? Sorry so long, I can totally feel your pain!!!! Chat Icon

Jack has his nights where he gets up at 4am - it's torture.

What time is she going to sleep? Can you play music or something for her? How about stuffed animals in the crib? Some toys for her to play with till she goes to sleep?

I think it is a phase...Tyler is 16 months, and over teh weekend, I had to go out driving in the car at 3AM! It was HORRIBLE!!!! He screamed like crazy in his room for 25 mins and then DH and I said enough...and I knew the car woudl do the trick...not a habit I want to get into, but we all needed to sleep!

Gracie's been going through this as well...its been on/off the last 2 weeks or so. I THINK she's getting in her 4 eye teeth (her hands are always in her mouth & she's wanting the paci all the time to bite). Yet some nights she's fine & other nights at 2am she's up & screaming. I tried going in & rocking her but the second I put her down she's up & screaming again. The only thing that works is when I bring her into bed w/ me & like you, I don't want to start a bad habit. She sleeps fine otherwise. I just hope this ends soon....I'm hoping its just b/c of her eye teeth coming in.

She turned 17 months yesterday.

i wish I had advice for you, Luka is a cosleeper, I've tried everything for him not to be, but he wont sleep if not glued to me. Last night as soon as i rolled over and he wasnt glued to me, he woke up yelling Mama until i cuddled again.
This morning I got up and he yelled at me and followed me out of bed...
i wish i had advice but i've already screwed myself . Chat Icon

I think those are the teeth that are coming in and from what I remember the molars and these are suppose to be the worst. I did give her motrin a few nights and it didn't really help because she still woke up.
It is so weird too, because she goes down fine for her 2 naps (sometimes it is only 1 but usually 2) and down for the night no problem and awake. She has 5 stuffed animals that she sleeps with and has 2 paci's in her crib. She just wakes up and cry's.
One night last week I tried to CIO with her, well it went like
12am she woke up I went in and rocked her to sleep. I lay her down get to OUTSIDE her door close the door and she hears me walk away because the floors squeks so bad in front of her room.
12:22 am I in bed and decide to let he CIO and she cried for an HOUR.
1:25am I go in her room and rock her 45 minutes Chat Icon and she finially stays asleep until 3:15am and cried for second and woke up at 7.
Now I other hand didn't go to be until 4 because I was wide awakeChat Icon .

Maybe these summer babies don't like the cold Chat Icon
