So DH didn't even wish my a happy Mother's Day
We are just not in a good place right now, but he doesn't seem to care at all about today. I'm not looking for a big deal, but to not even get wished "happy mother's day" really bummed me out
I have 2 beautiful children and they are the best part of my marriage these days, but they are too little to "get" today, KWIM?
Just a pity vent..... I also know by the time we see both of our moms it will be naptime and we won't get to do anything as a family today. I feel we are doing everything for everyone else today and it's not about me even though (like all LIF moms) I work so hard and do so much....to say nothing of feeling overwhelmed with my 2
as I said, total pity vent....carry on

Sam, I wish there was something I could say to make this better. Have you guys gone to counseling? You are too good of a person to put up with some of the things he does to you. He needs to change it seems. Do you guys do the talking between the kids thing" -- Like he says to Connor "Wish Mommy a Happy Mother's Day?" - because if he does that maybe he thinks THAT is his way of saying it? KWIM?
Either way, tons of hugs because I know you are struggling lately. Try to enjoy this day and not worry about him, but focus on your two beautiful children!

I had to remind mine that it was Mother's Day. Now I'm waiting for him to come back from Home Depot which he said he was only going for 1/2 hour and he has been gone over an hour. I'm waiting for him to go out  It bothered me that I had to remind him. I would have also loved a homemade card from my kids with painted hand marks and all that but at the same time he can't think that far to do something like that with them since they are way too young

I saw this, and my heart sank.
NO ONE deserves a happier mother's day than you do, Sam. You are an AMAZING mom to two AMAZING kids, and as long as you (and they know that)... well, I want to say it's all that matters, but sometimes, it isn't. Just know that those Connor and Meagan are SO lucky to have you as their mom. Happy mother's day. I hope it gets better.

That just flat out suucks. I really hope his conscience kicks in, and he feels lower than whale shiit for withholding a kind thought for you today.

Happy Mother's Day! I say, try and carve out something for yourself if not today, then another day. Today often becomes a day of running around for everyone else, so pick another day to make Mother's Day - your day. I wish there was a flowers icon, I'd send you flowers!
