so embarrassed and way TMI but please help me
I think I may have a boil in my pubic area it has been heer for weeks now and its very ugly and annoying
what type of Dr do I go to??

have you tried to put like a drawing sav on it? or hot rags? i would try to dry it up somehow and see if it goes away ... if not i would go to the ob/gyn...
if you shave it could be an infected ingrown hair..

I would call the doctor tomorrow morning the ob that is.
Maybe it is a boil or some kind of cyst. Check it out before it gets worse, and for now just keep soaking or putting hot compresses on it.

You could try regular tea bags that are warm. My mother had them on her thighs when she was pg with my brother and that really helped.

I had a mole near my lady business. The dermatolagist was clearly embarassed about the location- he was so nervous. What are you gonna do ? They're doctors, I figured he'd seen much worse-

I'm not sure exactly what you're describing but after the baby I got an infected gland that sort of looked like a pimple but was painful as all get out so I went to the OB. The nurse practitioner tested it and told me it was probably a cyst  which it wasn't. When I saw the actual doctor she told me it's just an infected gland and to keep the area clean and apply a hot rag and it went away.

I had this too. It took a while but it went away.

I know this sounds crazy, but it really works. If it is an infection, this will help draw it out. Sugar and soap. Make a paste out of the sugar and soap. Apply it to the site and put a band aid over it. My grandma taught me this and it ALWAYS works. DH gets lots of infected ingrown hairs and I've had one in my area as well.
