So excited about my Level II tomorrow -- but afraid I'm going to crack!
I don't want to the know the sex of the baby -- but I've gone back and forth about this. DH has always wanted to know, but says if its important to me we won't find out. Of course, he also says he's sure my resolve will "crack" when we're at the sono and could just find out.
The sono tech even told us (at our last sono) that a lot of couple who say they don't want to know, do "crack" when they are in the middle of the sono.
Did anyone go into the Level II saying that they didn't want to know and "crack"???

Nope, we wanted to know from the beginning, I would have never been able to wait.
But I'd suggest this maybe...when you get there and they first start, maybe tell them you don't want to know, but may change your minds by the end of the sono, so if they could do that region last (or if they go in an order, maybe they'll rescan that region if you want), and then let you know when they're almost finished with the sono in case you have changed your minds and want to know. That way, you're not making a decision right on the spot, you'll have 10+ minutes of being amazed at seeing the baby before you have to decide if you want to change your minds.

DH & I wanted to be surprised, and even with having monthly sonos our tech has been great at keeping it a secret.
With only weeks to go, we are very excited to hear in the delivery room what our DC is!

As someone who hates surprises, I would definitely crack! Stay strong if you will regret finding out!

I agree - tell them from the start that you do not want to know - tell every person that comes into that room and it should be fine.
Good Luck!!!

We didnt want to know and told the sono tech right away. After the level 2 was done I asked the tech "do you know what the sex is?" and she said "yes." THAT was the hardest part for me - having this person know the sex of my child and I didnt. . . but we walked out of the room and didnt find out.
I never regretted not finding out the sex - and when they said "it's a girl!" in the delivery room (I really thought boy that day) I was so surprised and overjoyed! And my sister told me that being in the waiting room with all of our family, not knowing the sex was so exciting - when Neil told them that we had a girl, they let out this HUGE cheer!
