so fed up with my cleaning people Need Someone new with pics

I have been using the same cleaning people for 3 years now.

They are getting worse and worse

Today not only did they leave garbage on the floor, and their coffee cup on my staircase railing

But after looking at my toilets which had rings and other stuff on them and a layer of dust

The shower doors on the bottom are completely covered in a film, i was so upset that they just left and the tiles of the shower are covered in white stuff as well.
I just had to go up there and clean everything myself. including the other 2 bathroom toilets, the soap scum came off with a sponge and some tilex and scrubbing bubles

Oh and last week, they left 2 empty soda cans on DH's nitestand...I left htem there and told them today to THROW them away

Please any recs is appreciated, I am at my wits end, especially that we pay them 100 a week. If they come every week there should be no reason why my toilets are rings and stains on them and my shower doors are filled with soap scum

I would not have paid them until they fixed those things...for 100 bucks, my home should be sparkling....

You left their empty used soda cans in your bedroom fora week?! Nicole, I say this with kindness, but these people are making you a little batty! Time for a change. Good luck though - I see posts on this board all the time about how a good cleaning lady is hard to find.

I want to fire them, but I am so scared because I don't have anyone else i can trust.

I can't clean my house myself, I am looking on craiglist but I am scared but if its a scam or something

Honestly after having gone through so many cleaning people through the years, I gave up and do it myself.

I would clean your house for $100 a week....I cant believe that they left soda cans and a cup of coffee. How rude.

Its hard to find good reliable people to clean your house and to leave there while you are not home. Danielle and I really had a good cleaning woman, but she ended up not being reliable and not coming on the days she was supposed to be there. So in the end Danielle and I started cleaning the house ourselves on a Saturday afternoon. It was a pain, but we knew that the house looked good because we did a good job.

We just went through something similar with our housekeeper. They would come every two weeks to clean our one bedroom apartment for $65. It was a husband-wife team and it took them about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to clean. For the most part, we were happy but the quality of their service started to deteriorate over the past few months. The woman wouldn't clean in back of or around the kitchen appliances, she wouldn't move the runner in the kitchen to mop underneath it, I can go on and on. Basically she would just clean what she wanted to clean. The last time they came my DH pointed out that she was missing some areas and she had the audacity to go off on him and say that we are never happy. My DH just paid her and she left. She did not confirm our appointment in two weeks (she always does this when she is paid) nor has she been in touch so I hope that was the end of it.

So for now, we decided to do the cleaning ourselves and see how it goes. But I totally agree with the other posters - it's so hard to find good, reliable housekeepers.

Has anyone ever tried Molly Maids or Merry Maids? I always receive their flyers in the mail but don't know of anyone who has tried them.

An old, old friend of mine just opened a cleaning business with his wife. I got something on FB about it and didn't even realize it was him.
