so frustrated and am I the only one
I am feeling so frustrated with the Winthrop maternal-fetal care team. My consult was a disappointment and disaster. I never saw the doctor I was scheduled to see, which by the way is very common from what I am told. The team made mistakes with the info gathered and put that info in a consult report. BTW, just a heads up, the consult consists of a med student, resident and fellow. I called them after reading the report and asked for info to be correct, meds, dosages, medical history. Over a month of playing phone tag with the RN, today we touch bases and they still messed up.
Every phone call I make to this office makes me feel like crying. I did tell my RE how disappointed I was with them since he sent me.
On the other side, has anyone ever had a conversation with their RE, think you "got it" and realize later that day or the next day your not sure what you discussed or which direction your going in.

I'm sorry your consult was disappointing. Hopefully, your RE will be able to recommend someone else that will be a better fit for you.
I've definitely had the experience of realizing after the fact that I didn't quite get what the RE (or another doctor) was talking about. If it's something minor, I'll usually wait until the next visit to ask. If it's something important, I'll call or email to try to get more info. I usually have a running list of questions that I bring to my visits.

You are not the only one. I always feel a little lost, even when I think I get it. It's that feeling of uncertainty that is awful, especially when it's something that is so important to you. You don't want to make any "wrong" decisions. I'm always jotting things down like MrsM0829 - it helps organize things a bit if it's down on paper (at least for me).
Hang in there

Re: so frustrated and am I the only one
Having my RE's email would be great but he never gave one out, perhaps I will ask tomorrow.
I am too afraid to see another high risk doctor, the first report was not great news and hearing the same opinion a second time will put be in a dark emotional place.
I always have questions. Sometimes I know I am asking him the same question or we talk about the same topic a few times, during different appointments, but I don't think I always hear the answer. I'm sure at times I drive him crazy.
Thank you

I'm sorry the report from the dr you saw wasn't what you were hoping for. I hope the doctor turns out to have just been overly pessimistic.
I think the REs are used to having to rehash things. There's always do much to absorb at these appointments and it's such an emotional time that it makes it difficult to really grasp everything.
