Yes, that would be me! One bite...just didn't taste like the usual vegetable dumplings. Made the dh taste them. Um, yeah, kind of *different* to him, too. Yeah...poor piggy.

Whoopsie! Did you get ill from it? One time when I was in college, my mom was making two pots of chili: one turkey and one beef. Since I don't eat red meat, she made me the turkey one and asked me to taste it. She handed me a spoonful of the wrong one and I got so ill from it! But granted it had been like 10 years since I had beef, so my body just rejected it

Oh, a different color, too. More pinkish. And Rachel, I know what you mean about getting sick. I've been meatless for almost 20 years. I'm hoping the one bite isn't going to wreak havoc on my belly.

I always completely mutilate my dumplings before I eat them for that reason!!!!

Yeah, I would definitely be saying something to wherever those dumplings were from...I remember eating with a friend (another vegetarian) and there was chicken in her corn soup...it was NOT pretty...(health wise..nevermind the argument she gave the waiter!)
